Akash A. Suvarna

Lion Akash A. Suvarna, a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, was born into a dedicated Lions family of late PDG Anand N. Suvarna and Devaki Anand Suvarna. A Civil Engineer from the prestigious R.V.College of Engineering, Akash ASuvarna is presently involved in the real estate business of construction of apartments, land development and warehousing logistics.

His Journey of Lionism started nearly 40 years ago in 1980 as a Charter Member of Leo Club Of Bangalore Jayamahal. Later he served as member of the LEO Council and Leo District for several years. He actively served the Leo Movement for 14 years.

In 1998 he became the Charter President of Lions Club Of Bangalore Metro sponsored by the Lions Club of Bangalore Jayamahal. Today Lions Club of Bangalore Metro is a very prestigious club of our district and has crossed 26 years of service to the needy and purposeful lionism. He is also also the Chairman of the Metro Lions Services Trust.

Akash A.Suvarna served in the district as Zone Membership Advisor, Zone Chairperson, District Cabinet Secretary, LDSF Trustee, Treasurer of LDSF Trust and served in various portfolios as District Chairperson. He has also served as Chairperson for Region Meets and District Cabinet Presentation.

He has created benchmarks in his assignments. As District Chairperson for Blood Donation he could motivate and collect 6400+ units of blood during the peak Covid Pandemic period of 2020-21. In two terms as District Coordinator for Vision, he was instrumental in our District achieving 50,000+ eye screenings in 2021-22 and a record 100000+ eye screenings in 2022-23.

Akash A. Suvarna has created history by getting unanimously elected as Second Vice District Governor 2023-24 in the 10th Annual District Convention. In April 2024 he was elected as the First Vice District Governor for 2024-2025.

Recognising his merit and achievments, Akash A. Suvarna has been awarded at the District, Multiple and International levels, prominent among them being 2 International President's Medals and 8 International President's Appreciation Certificates.

In the social circles of Bangalore, he is a member of Karnataka State Cricket Association, Bowring Institute, Karnataka Hockey Association, Malleshwaram Club and Mahalaxmi Residents Forum etc. Afitness enthusiast and very keen sports person into trekking and long distance running, Akash has participated in several Half Marathons of 21.5kms and Full Marathons of 42kms. He has also participated in various State & National 2 and 4 wheeler Motor Rallies and Races.

He is married to Smt. Ashwini. They are blessed with two sons. elder son Dr. Abhinav A. Suvarna pursuing his MS Degree in Orthopedics at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences and younger son Ayush A.Suvarna a Computer Science Engineering Graduate from the PES Institute of Technology.
