PAST INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

Ta-Lung Chiang, from Taichung, China Taiwan, was elected to serve a two-year term as a
director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 93rd International
Convention, held in Sydney, Australia, June 28 to July 2, 2010.

Past Director Chiang is the founder of the Yu-Da Education Institution.

A member of the Changkung Lions Club and a Lion since 1992, Past Director Chiang has held
many offices within the association, including club president, zone chairperson, region
chairperson, district committee chairperson, vice district governor and district governor. He was
the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) board appointee from 2015-2016 and 2020-
2021 and was appointed trustee to LCIF from 2010-2012 and 2019-2022.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards, including the
100% Club President Award, the International Hero Award, the International President’s
Leadership Award and three International President’s Certificates of Appreciation. He is a
Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lions activities, Past Director Chiang has been active in numerous professional
and community organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Cultural and Educational
Foundation of the Affiliated Industrial Vocational High School of National Changhua University
of Education, Director General of the Taiwan Civil Aid Service and Chairman of Yu-Da Cultural
and Educational Foundation. He also received the Goodness Award from the Taiwan Association
of Good People Good Deeds and the National Diplomacy Award from the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.

Past Director Chiang and his wife, Hsiu-Yun, also a Lion, have two sons and three daughters.
