INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Rodolfo Espinal, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was elected to serve as international
director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 101st International Convention, held in
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, June 29 through July 3, 2018.
Director Espinal has been a part of the communications industry for over 55 years and has over
40 years of interpretation experience. He has also performed voice-over work and provided
public relations services. He is currently president of Respinal & Asociados.
He has been a member of the Club de Leones Santo Domingo Central since 1980. He has held a
number of offices within the association and has served in a variety of speaking and training
roles through the years. He served as a designated speaker of the DMR before FOLAC from
2012-2015 and has acted as a coordinator and accompanying translator for international
dignitaries visiting the country.
In recognition of this service he has been received an International President’s Award and two
International President’s Leadership Awards. In addition to recognition for 30 years of perfect
attendance, he has received more than 25 certificates of appreciation, over 100 certificates of
recognition and more than 30 recognition plates. Director Espinal is a Progressive Melvin Jones
Fellow.
