C.m.narayanaswamy

Lion C.M. Narayana Swamy was born on 5th February 1961 at Madanahalli Village, Kolar District in an agricultural family. His parents were the late Sri ChikkaMuniswamy and Smt. Muniyamma.

Narayana Swamy had his primary schooling in his native place and then attended high school and college at Kolar. After his graduation, he had his master's degree in Bangalore University. After his post-graduation, he joined LIC of India in Bangalore. On completion of 32 years of service, he retired from LIC as Development Officer in 2021.

Since 2008-09, Narayana Swamy has been serving the District in various positions with distinction. He became Zone Chairperson for 2008-09 and was recognized as the Best Zone Chairperson. He served as Region Chairperson during 2009- 10 and was conferred with Excellence Award. He served as District Chairperson for Speech & Hearing in 2010-11 and received the Best Multiple Award. Next he served as the District Chairperson for Leo Clubs for two consecutive terms from 2011 to 13. During this period, he extended 8 Leo Clubs and was honoured with an 'Outstanding Award.' Later, during 2013.14 He became the District Co-ordinator for Administration' for which he received 'Excellent Co-operation Award.'

Narayana Swamy's journey in the district continued. During 2014-15 he served as Additional District Cabinet Secretary for which he got 'District Governor's Special Recognition Award' and 'International President's leadership Medal.' He then served as District Cabinet Treasurer during 2015-16 and received 'International President's Medal.' His next assignment was as Public Relations Officer for two terms during 2016-17 and 2019-20. He moved on and served as District Cabinet Secretary for two terms during 2017-18 and 2019-20. In recognition of his excellent contributions, he was honoured with the Lion of the Year Award.

Other positions he occupied included the Secretary of LDSF and District GMTTeam Member for Retention in 2018-19. He also served as the District Directory Editor and DC for Convention and Protocol in 2020-21 and District Co-ordinator for Diabetes in 2021-22. He is a recipient of International President's Certificate eight times and the Best Multiple DCT and DCS awards. He is a graduate of Regional Lions Leadership Institute (RLLI) and Advanced Lions Leadership Institute (ALLI). Narayana Swamy is a distinguished Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF) of Lions International.

Narayana Swamy was elected as the Second vice District Governor for 2022-23, first vice District Governor for 2023- 24 and as District Governor for the Lionistic Year 2024-25. His aim is to strive for excellence and take District 317F to greater heights in administrative and service activities.

Apart from his involvement in Lionism he devotes his time on socio-cultural activities.He is a member of ISKCON Temple and Country Club.

Narayanaswamy is happily married to Smt. B.H. Girija and the couple is blessed with a son, N. Bhargav, who is now serving in LIC of India.
