Empowering Women for Financial Independence: Lions Clubs' E-Rickshaw Initiative

The famous proverb, "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime," embodies the essence of empowerment through self-reliance. Lions Clubs International District 322B1 brought this proverb to life in May 2023 through a remarkable initiative aimed at providing women with the tools they need to build a better future. District Governor Lion Manoj Agarwal spearheaded an effort to promote self-employment by providing 50 women with E-Rickshaws, granting them the independence to earn a livelihood and create a path to financial independence.
